Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Social Worker position is available in Lake Orion, MI, on a contract basis. This role focuses on providing social-emotional support to general education students through individual and group interventions. Additional responsibilities include supporting classroom environments and school buildings by implementing positive behavior programs and delivering professional learning. Qualified candidates must hold a Masters degree and possess a valid LARA license. Accepted credentials include: Licensed Masters level Social Worker (LMSW) or School Social Worker Limited Licensed Masters level Social Worker under supervision of an LMSW Licensed Masters level Psychologist or School Psychologist, including those credentialed by MDE Licensed Masters level Marriage and Family Therapist Licensed Masters level Professional Counselor, or limited licensed under supervision Licensed Bachelor Level Social Worker (LBSW) currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an LMSW or LLMSW program within 24 months School Counselor License with necessary endorsements or credentials, with appropriate plans for licensure progression within 24 months This position involves direct interaction with students to address their mental health needs, as well as collaboration with school staff to promote positive behavioral interventions and support school-wide programs.
