and experienced EDM, CNC mill, and waterjet operators to join and
grow in the PPG organization. Machine Operators will operate
various machining equipment according to written work instructions.
New operators will be exposed to and trained on various machining

advancementRequirements:Visually inspect all parts prior to loading
into the fixtureLoad part into the appropriate fixture and machine
according to written work instructionsVerify part is properly
nested in the fixture using appropriate gauging tool(s)Verify
correct program is being used with written work instructionsOperate
machinery as instructedVisually inspect parts after machiningGauge
machined part to verify conformity to work instructionHandwrite
gauge and part data on the appropriate gauge data
document(s)Immediately report all non-conforming data to a quality
representativeMaintain clean and organized work areaKnowledge,
skills, and abilitiesMust be able to read and legibly write the
English languageHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to solve
basic mathematic equations (addition, subtraction, greater than,
less than)Ability to identify and use basic hand tools including,
but not limited to clamps, pliers, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches,
etc.Familiarity with and ability to use or learn to use measuring
tools to include: micrometers, calipers, and dial
indicatorsExperience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is a
plusAbility and willingness to be at work for each scheduled shift
and arrive on timeMust be willing and able to complete and pass new
