seeking entry-level Machine Operators to join and grow in the PPG
organization. On the job training will be provided for a minimum of
90 days. Machine Operators will operate various machinery,
including, but not limited to EDM, CNC, waterjet, and grinding
equipment to machine incoming parts according to customer
specifications and written work instructions. All shifts available,
please mark your desired shift when completing your application.
Requirements:
- Visually inspect all parts prior to performing any machining
operation for non-conformance
- Secure parts into fixtures as instructed
- Follow machining work instructions as written
- Visually inspect and gauge all parts after machining process
has been completed
- Record gauge data on the appropriate form as directed
- Report all non-conforming product to your supervisor, manager,
or quality team member
- Maintain organized work area during machine cycle time
- Review and understand required part commitments every
shift
- Other work related tasks as requiredKnowledge, skills, and
abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to perform basic math (adding, subtracting,
multiplying, dividing, read and write decimal form)
- Must be able to read and write legibly for QMS compliance
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and / or 7 days with
notice
- Ability to lift and secure parts into fixtures repeatedly
- Ability to read and interpret part routers and work
instructions
- Ability and willingness to meet or exceed daily
commitments
- Experience with or willingness to learn to use hand held tools
including, but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, feeler
gauges, and allen wrenches
- Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance policies is a
must
Compensation details: 14-18 Hourly Wage
