Health/Social Services - Flexible Full-time Position (M-F)
(evenings-weekends as determined by programmatic and client
specific needs)
The Early Head Start Home Visitor offers education and support
services to low-income and at-risk pregnant women and families with
infants and toddlers within the clients home or in community
settings. This position is responsible for providing individualized
educational services in compliance with the Head Start Program
Performance Standards while utilizing a child development
curriculum as well as contributing to program planning and
improvement activities. This unlicensed provider will engage as a
member of a collaborative team. With a Trauma Informed approach,
this position will be a representative for the organization and how
we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health.
Essential Duties
Provide trauma informed, educational services to clients and their
family system. 65% of your time with direct client care.
Provide accurate, concise, and concurrent documentation according
to program procedures and policies. Including, but not limited to
home visit plans, documentation of services rendered, and a variety
of child and family screenings-assessments. It takes 25% of your
time.
Seek and secure professional development consistent with licensure
and credential requirements for personal and organizational growth.
It requires 5% of your work time.
Another 5% of your work time on Participate in supervision and team
meetings, work groups, task forces, or other general efforts that
add value to the success of the organization and programming.
Provide crisis intervention-support as needed
Perform outreach- recruitment activities within the community
Support additional early childhood prevention programming as
needed
Experience
One years experience working in Early Childhood Education (birth to
age three); home-based and-or Head Start-Early Head Start
experience
One years experience working with at-risk families including
diverse cultural backgrounds
Education
CDA credential or equivalent
Licensure-Certifications
State of Ohio Chemical DependencyPrevention Credential: RA, OCPSA,
OCPS, OCPC (RA application to be completed within 90 days of
hire)
QMHS-QBHS (within 90 days of hire)
Must have an acceptable driving record (4 points or less) and carry
automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of
$100,000-$300,000 and property damage of $50,000
BLS-First aid (as applicable, company provided)
Communicable Disease (employer provided)
Child Abuse-Neglect Recognition (employer provided)
Drug Screen, TB Test, Background (required)
Comments Visitor must have ability to frequently use hands-fingers
to type on computer keyboard and operate general office equipment
such as; phone, copier Ability to frequently sit in a stationary
position for extended periods of time at desk and on floors in home
Ability to frequently drive daily and travel locally to conduct
home visits Ability to occasionally ascend-descend stairs as
necessary Ability to occasionally lift 10-30 pounds
