Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) is an FAA certified repair station specializing in gas turbine engine component repairs for air, land, and sea. CRT has built a reputation for quality and responsive service by providing precision turbine engine component inspection, repair and overhaul services for the world's leading turbine engine manufacturers and major airlines since 1985.We are looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee the activities of our Plasma Thermal Spray, Shotpeen, Paint, and Plating departments who will work together with other supervisors to ensure that company quality and delivery goals are met. This position will also ensure that work is assigned in such a way that qualified, competent personnel, with the correct work instructions, tools and equipment, are using correct processes to perform repair work on the right parts at the right times to meet customer requirements.RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate and supervise production workers in the performance of turbine engine component repairs and other work CRT performs in the Plasma Thermal Spray, Shotpeen, Paint and Plate departments.Perform supervisory leadership functions such as employee development, performance reviews, disciplinary action, training assessments, training plans, and conflict resolution. Communicate effectively in person and through various means such as department meetings, email, and company computer systems to support company goals.Coordinate task assignments for employees with other supervisors and managers to achieve promised delivery dates. Coordinate scheduling of workers on their shift, day, and task assignment to ensure that properly trained personnel are in the right place at the right time to support product throughput. Manage core hours, scheduled time off, flexible schedules, weekend schedules, shift schedules, and overtime to meet throughput requirements.Monitor employees to ensure that employees are performing work correctly and safely and following all CRT policies and procedures. Promote desirable work ethic traits such as technical competency, attention to detail, teamwork, and dependability in CRT employees. Coach and counsel employees. Explore and recommend efficiency improvements, including equipment improvements or acquisitions, employee training and development, and work scope improvements.Conduct regularly scheduled department meetings, including monthly meetings and smaller more frequent group meetings as required. Communicate changes that affect employees in a timely manner. Communicate changes in schedules immediately to other supervisors and schedulers. Communicate defective parts issues immediately to engineering and/or quality engineering. Follow CRT systems to communicate corrective action findings, HR issues, maintenance issues, purchasing needs, and other issues that arise throughout the day to the proper individuals.QUALIFICATIONS:Strong communication and leadership skills - college level reading, writing, and speaking, including public speaking. The ability to give and receive constructive criticism. The ability to organize and oversee the process of technical information and maintain records.The ability to oversee various technical or complex processes. The ability to evaluate technical issues objectively.Ability to balance many responsibilities simultaneously.Must have an understanding of basic shop math and geometric tolerances as related to CRT drawings and standard manufacturing methods.Where FAA certification is required, must meet the requirements of FAA part 65 (at least 18 months experience in the processes overseen, industry certification when required, demonstrated knowledge of applicable FAA regulations, demonstrated knowledge of CRT Repair Station Manual and quality systems).Knowledge of thermal spray, shotpeening, painting, or electroplating processes preferred.Must be able to read, comprehend, and write technical data, information and/or operator work instructions. General computer skills required.
