Under the direct supervision of the Fitness Manager, the
Personal Trainer is responsible for their clients' physical
assessments, exercise prescription, and motivation, as well as
policy enforcement, record keeping, and delivering excellent
customer service at all times to every member.
Essential Job Functions:
Prospects for clients sufficient to build and consistently
maintain a book of clients resulting in the delivery of a minimum
of 20 fee-based sessions per week.
Schedules and administers computerized Physical Fitness
Assessments and Functional Movement Screens to new and existing
clients at least three times per year.
Prescribes individual exercise programs that follow the
guidelines adopted by LiveHealthy based on assessment results and
Maintains a record of past and present clients' attendance and
Reviews all policies and procedures with each client
Provides floor coverage during times of need.
Follows the established procedure for repair of equipment found
to be malfunctioning.
Displays proficiency in the operation of the computer hardware
and Motionsoft club management software.
Supports the department's promotional strategy to generate
maximum participation in fee-based programs/services.
Serves as a healthy Role Model to all center staff and
Follows system and department policies and procedures with
special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality,
dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain
organization and department specific competencies and
Maintains applicable certification/licensure. Current CPR

Maintains responsibility for on-going positive communications

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science,
athletic training, physical therapy, physical education or other
related discipline OR specific certification in personal training
preferred. NCAA-accredited certification in personal training, PTA
Global, ACSM, NASM, NETA, NSCA, Stott or Balanced Body
Minimum three-year's experience as a personal and small group
trainer delivering a weekly minimum of 20 hours of fee-based
sessions in a community, corporate, commercial or clinical
health/fitness facility preferred. Proven experience in client
prospecting and client retention to maintain weekly minimum
sessions; proficient in the administration of physical assessments,
functional movement screens, exercise prescriptions and program
