Job Description Job Description Mancan is partnering with a reputable company in Wooster and is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Operator to join our team on the second shift. The Forklift Operator will play a vital role in our facility's daily operations by efficiently and safely operating a forklift, moving materials, and performing various tasks in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, legible handwriting, basic math skills, physical agility, and adaptability are key attributes for success in this role. Reporting directly to the supervisor, the Forklift Operator will contribute to maintaining a smooth and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities: -Safely operate a forklift to transport materials, supplies, and products within the facility. -Utilize manual lifting when necessary to ensure proper handling and precise placement of items. -Break down boxes, pallets, and packaging materials to uphold a clean and organized workspace. -Maintain efficient work pace in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity goals and deadlines. -Exhibit legible handwriting when recording information on labels, documents, or records. -Perform basic math calculations to validate quantities, update inventory, and complete necessary paperwork. -Demonstrate physical agility and flexibility to handle bending, twisting, and lifting tasks. -Foster effective communication with team members to ensure streamlined workflow. -Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a secure work environment. -Assist with any additional duties or tasks as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent. -Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification. -Preferably prior experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role. -Strong attention to detail and legible handwriting skills. -Basic math skills to perform inventory counts and calculations. -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. -Physical stamina to lift and transport objects of varying sizes and weights. -Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset. -Willingness to rigorously follow safety guidelines and protocols.
