We are seeking a HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR to take charge of the day-to-day HR activity for our small manufacturing company located in Mentor, OH. W.S. Tyler is the trusted voice when it comes to woven wire mesh. In this position, you---ll work closely with the HR Manager and be responsible for the full employee life cycle (recruiting, onboarding, development, etc.) You---ll become an expert on our benefits and policies, being the first line responder for all employees. You---ll build trusted relationships with managers to better assist them to manage their departments. You---ll also have the opportunity to lead our Wellness/Social committee to plan company-sponsored events. The ideal candidate will work closely with leadership to create an environment where we build and maintain the connection with our employees. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment. W.S. WHAT YOU---LL DO: -- Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. -- Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions. -- Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. -- Assist with recruitment and interview process. Track status of candidates in HRIS and respond with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process. -- Schedule meetings and interviews for hiring managers. -- Oversee and coordinate new employee onboarding. -- Complete/verify documentation and maintain I-9 files. -- Initiate new-employee background checks and pre-employment drug screens. -- Assist with the preparation of performance review process. -- Assist with processing of terminations. -- Make photocopies, mail, scan, and email documents, and perform other clerical functions. -- Support managers through employee relations issues. -- Collaborate with leadership to continually improve employee engagement. -- Perform other related duties as assigned. WHAT YOU---LL NEED: -- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -- Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills. -- Strong organization skills and attention to detail. -- Advanced time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines/prioritize tasks. -- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures. -- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. -- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. -- Basic understanding of how to operate standard business equipment. -- Associates degree in office administration or related field, preferred (or two years HR experience in a manufacturing environment). -- At least three years of administrative and clerical experience required.
