Job Description Description A Brief Overview This Level
2/experienced therapist should demonstrate the mastery of most
clinical skills and focuses on improving other skills where
necessary. This skills includes assessment skills and the active
assessment of respiratory therapies needed and procedures according
to the respiratory protocols. What You Will Do Mechanical
ventilation Medicated aerosol delivery Airway clearance therapy
Patient monitoring Oxygen and humidity therapy Special procedures
(CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.) Additional
Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with
all policies and standards. For specific duties and
responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department
during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and
securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our
patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies
and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in
the workplace. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree in
Respiratory (Required) or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory
(Required) Work Experience 3 years RRT experience. (Required)
Licenses and Certifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
(Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred) Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS) (Preferred) American Association for Respiratory Care
membership (Required) NRP Certification (Neonatal facilities)
(Required within 6 Months) Current RCP Ohio License granted by the
Ohio Medical Board (Required) Physical Demands Standing Frequently
