Deliver specialized nursing care in a dynamic cardiac stepdown unit focused on advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and complex cardiac conditions. This contract position offers an opportunity to work with patients requiring expert management of electrolyte imbalances, dysrhythmias, and tachy-brady syndromes. You will also care for individuals awaiting heart transplants or living with implantable devices like pacemakers, defibrillators, and Ventricular Assistive Devices (VAD). The role involves providing critical support during pre- and post-cardiac catheterization procedures, ablations, and chemical cardioversions using anti-dysrhythmic medication. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac diagnoses and implantable cardiac devices Administer and oversee advanced cardiac therapies and medications, including Tikosyn Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care Support hospitalist services, gaining experience in broader medical-surgical nursing care Educate patients and families on disease processes and post-discharge care plans Desired Experience and Qualifications: Current RN license with stepdown or critical care nursing experience Proven ability to manage patients with advanced cardiac conditions and complex rhythms Strong assessment skills and proficiency in cardiac monitoring technology Experience with heart transplant care and VAD patient management preferred Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Location:Based in Cleveland, OH, this position is situated within a major medical center known for its excellence in cardiac care.
