As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team. /n/nRequired Qualifications:/n/n /n/t - One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist/n/t - Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations/n/t - Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)/n /n/nPreferred Qualifications:/n/n /n/t - Current ARRT Certification/n/t - Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position/n /n/nSummary:/n/n The CT Tech operates computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. They prepare patients for the procedure, position patients with considerations for safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. CT Techs also maintain equipment, keep patient records, and follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process. /n/nEssential Work Functions:/n/n /n/t - Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes/n/t - Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients appropriately/n/t - Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology/n/t - Provide high-quality images to Radiologist for interpretation/n/t - Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety/n/t - Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality/n/t - Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system/n/t - Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services/n/t - Ability to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities/n/t - Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice/n /n/nRequired Essential Skills:/n/n /n/t - Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills/n/t - The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required/n/t - Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills/n/t - Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending/n/t - Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism/n/t - Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment./n/t - Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
