Job Description:

behavioral health and specialized chemical dependency treatment
services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults and

strengthen and support thousands of children, adults and their
families each year.
Our Pharmacological Management team is currently searching for a
pleasant, personable and empathetic individual for the position of
Medical Assistant. The MA will be responsible for clinical support
for our prescribers and nurses within the clinic for the wellbeing
of our clients. This highly visible role will be providing services
in person as well as over the phone/fax/letters/emails. In a
trauma-informed manner, the MA will meet with clients to collect
vital signs and data regarding medication and how the clients is
managing the treatment plan.
More specifically, the MA will be responsible for:
Collecting and updating patient registration, vital signs and other
related information for our electronic health record.
Coordinating services with internal and external providers.
Providing client education as necessary..
Performing injections, urine collection and toxicology screens,
routine lab draws/phlebotomy when needed.
Performing all treatments and procedures specific to Pharm
Management services.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma/GED required.
Current Medical Assistant certification from accredited Medical
Assistant program required.
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant.
STNA, Case Management/QMHS and Home health care aide will also be
considered.
Primary Care Clinic experience strongly preferred.
Experience injecting psychotropic medication required.
Demonstrated ability providing client education.
Activity level:
Ability to frequently sit in a stationary position for extended
periods of time
Ability to frequently use hands/fingers to type on computer
keyboard and operate general office equipment, such as phone and
copier
Ability to occasionally ascend/descend stairs as necessary.
Ability to occasionally drive.
