Position Summary
The Manager - Pricing & Contract Administration is responsible for the strategic direction and operations management of the pricing & contract administration team. Scope of responsibility includes maintenance and integrity of pricing databases for Global healthcare, including $1.0B+ in GPO, IDN & Strategic Account Sales as well as contractual administrative fee payments of over $25M. The position facilitates the execution of Americas Healthcare corporate contracts, including Cantel Medical, Key Surgical, and IMS IPS while providing pricing support to Corporate Accounts, Sales, Marketing, Service, and Customer Operations. This role requires engagement in extensive and ongoing collaboration with all corporate functions including Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Service, Information Technology, Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Legal.

What you will do
Manages and trains pricing & contract admin team while promoting a customer service attitude that allows the team to communicate and liaise with the respective business groups, producing solutions for internal customer needs.Determines and manages the financial and human resources necessary for success, including the employment and/or termination of all personnel directly assigned to the position. Develops LEAN Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiencies within teams, as well as drives the team vision.Drive pricing and contract initiatives as the business process owner for Oracle Advanced Pricing. Recommend, test, and implement enhancements to Oracle Advanced Pricing and employ training to global users of the pricing module. Protect price integrity across systems with critical review of all system enhancement requests.Lead the teams GPO and IDN administrative fee processes. This includes running and formatting reports to the specifications of each purchasing group, timely preparation of check requests, and distribution of payment to each group to reduce risk of late fees, penalties, or audit. Develop and implement processes for trend analysis to identify admin fee variances.Corporate based point of contact for GPO and IDN Customers as well as field sales regarding member contract eligibility, pricing, and any specific contract terms and conditions.Collaborates with the Corporate Account Directors and Strategic Account Directors with ongoing maintenance of existing contracts. This involves the addition or deletion of products as well as implementing price increases when applicable.Work with Corporate Legal, Regulatory and the Credit Departments in the areas of contract and pricing preparation, implementation, and maintenance. Also provide input into the RFP and bid process for healthcare.Recommend content for the Corporate Accounts intranet site to enhance the self service experience of sales teams and reduce the amount of time required to seek out contract and pricing information.Develop and provide reports upon request for multiple departments, including. Corporate Accounts, Sales, Marketing, Government, and Customer Service. Reports may include sales histories, contract pricing, margin analysis, membership alignments, and tier compliance.Lead review and maintenance of Customer profiles as well as GPO and IDN affiliations within Oracle databases to provide an accurate view of the Customer that allows the business to compile data and make business decisions. Responsible for overall Customer experience as it relates to proper contract alignment and IDN groupings. Works with IT representatives from the STERIS business community to ensure properly defined and highly accurate Customer data. This includes working to ensure that all related systems are in sync.Consult business unit leaders in the development of Healthcare pricing guidelines and freight policies.Develop and implement automated solutions to meet pricing and freight initiatives.Provide expertise in business system development efforts where Customer or pricing/contract data is involvedDefine requirements and lead acquisition integration efforts for Customer data, pricing, and freight terms.
Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 to 3 years management experience, or 5 to 7 years management experience without degree
  • Demonstrated track record as a strong manager
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Self-starterPreferred Experience
    • 2 years project management experience
    • Strong decision-making skills; understands how decisions impact the Customer and the Company
    • Ability to lead and influence a cross-functional team and operate in a highly complex environment
    • Strong analytic skills (data gathering, analysis, and recommendation development)
    • Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity
