Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Meadville, PA
(Onsite at Client Site) Company: System One Type: 3–6 Month
Contract Pay Rate: $65–$75/hour Per Diem: $174/day (7 days/week)
Job Summary System One is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical
Engineer to support our client site in Meadville, PA. This contract
opportunity allows you to work on complex projects within the glass
and heavy industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will bring strong
experience in mechanical and piping engineering, with hands-on site
experience and a collaborative approach to project execution. Key
Responsibilities Plan, organize, and execute mechanical and piping
engineering tasks across all project phases. Develop and review
technical specifications, bid evaluations, and project schedules.
Prepare and monitor project estimates, manpower forecasts, and
procurement plans. Coordinate with internal disciplines and
external vendors to support design and project execution. Perform
and review squad checks of vendor data and multidisciplinary
drawings. Ensure compliance with industry codes, regulations, and
best practices. Create Scopes of Work and Construction Work
Packages (CWPs). Prepare contractor bid documentation and support
vendor engagement. Contribute to the improvement of internal
engineering systems and project delivery efficiency. Provide
ongoing support to the mechanical engineering discipline. Perform
additional duties as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. 10 years of
experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the glass
or heavy industrial sector. Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Experience with equipment design, especially conveyors and related
systems. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,
Project). Strong knowledge of engineering codes, standards, and
permitting requirements. Excellent communication skills—both
written and verbal. Previous client-facing experience and on-site
