Smartland, a Cleveland-based owner and operator of apartment communities and single-family homes, is hiring a Grounds Crew Member to help keep our properties clean, safe, and welcoming. If you enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and seeing the results of your effort every day, this role is for you. Your work directly impacts curb appeal, safety, and resident satisfaction. Schedule Full-time, Monday–Friday Early mornings occasional weekends during snow Travel between Cleveland-area properties Mileage reimbursement (if using personal vehicle) What You’ll Do Keep grounds, walkways, and parking areas clean and safe Remove trash and debris from common areas Handle seasonal work: snow removal, salting, ice management Operate equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) Move materials, appliances, and supplies as needed Report hazards or property issues promptly Support maintenance team with general labor What You Bring Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors year-round Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures Pay & Growth $18–$24/hr based on experience Year-round stability Growth path into Maintenance Technician and other roles Supportive leadership and organized systems If you’re dependable, hardworking, and ready to grow, apply today and join the Smartland team.
