We're hiring a reliable and process-driven painter who is comfortable talking with clients to understand their needs. Our painters perform a variety of duties, including scaffold assembly, sanding down old paint, filling in drywall holes, mixing paint, and painting interior or exterior walls. Our ideal candidate has previous work experience as a house and industrial painter and is comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools to get the job done. Compensation: $38,000 - $52,000 yearly Responsibilities: Mix paint or stains to customer’s specification Treat painted surfaces with primer or sealer Cover trim, fixtures, furniture, and floors to protect them from paint Get surfaces ready to be painted by sanding away old paint and filling holes and cracks with putty Tidy the work area once the painting project is complete Protect trim, floors, fixtures, and furniture from paint using drop cloths and covers Repair small drywall patches Maintain a neat and tidy work area Qualifications: Applicant must have valid driver’s license Experience with painting tools and techniques is a big plus, but we are willing to train on the job for motivated candidates Preference for candidates with 2 years work experience and completed apprenticeship, but not required High school diploma or GED preferred Stamina, standing for long periods of time, dexterity, and physical strength is required Must live within 50 miles of Auburn Hills, Michigan, to be considered for this position Minimum 1-2 years of professional painting experience (residential and/or commercial preferred) Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and proper use of brushes, rollers, and sprayers Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and scaffolding Experience with drywall patching, sanding, caulking, taping, and priming surfaces Understanding of different paint types and finishes, including interior/exterior applications Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to follow job site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently or as part of a team Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and coworkers Willingness to work a consistent full-time schedule year-round About Company Since 1986, Concraft has provided emergency restoration and reconstruction services throughout the Greater Detroit Metro Area and Southeast Michigan.
